Yep - our society has pretty much traded in critical thinking for bullying. Reminds me of a fellow who once travelled to Sweden with me. When the local appeared not to understand English - my associate just yelled louder - in English.

I was Templeton ... in the ad agency. And in ignoring some possible investments, like the condos in Vail when it first opened that were being offered for around $30,000 at the time. When we moved to Minnesota several years later those exact same units were selling for $1.3 million. My thought then, as it remains, is that I didn't want to mess with the mountain. In the end that decision wouldn't have made an iota bit of difference ... except in the direction of my life!

My first thought was, "Hold my beer, and watch this." This also reminds me of my thwarted genealogy work. When I finally found a great-great niece of my great-grandmother, she yelled at me about my impossible ancestors. Shaking her head, she revealed that her family branch was intelligent people without a lick of common sense.
