I can totally identify with your pickup truck story except- I'm not a guy, but now an old lady ( former serious horse person) My current Chevrolet Silverado 2002 with 300,000 miles, some dings, scratches, etc., hasn't been washed in many years. It is that lovely gray color that exactly matches the dust on my mile long rock lane. Couldn't give me a black truck ! Though I don't tow a gooseneck horse trailer anymore- still an occasional utility trailer, and use the truck still several times a month for assorted hauling as I attempt to keep my 55 acre not for profit farm somewhat under control. Hoping to get another 300,000 or so miles on it, as I won't be able to spend $65,000 or so on a new one.

Pickups cost more now than we paid for our farm many years ago !
