It was pretty fun. That's not always the case. Last week I spoke to a guy on a radio station in England and he'd read the whole book and was ready to talk knowledgeably about all the characters, but last night I did a podcast with a guy who didn't know anything about me and wasn't really interested in finding out anything either. As they say, some days chicken salad, some days chicken shit.

What an unusual approach to an interview! It was very interesting to hear it unfold. It reminded me of the radio station in Watertown that did a weekly SOUTH DAKOTA CALL. They called someone in the United States....randomly (don't know how they chose the numbers) and asked them to tell them three things they knew for sure about South Dakota. It was rare that anyone could do that. They'd guess at things like, "It's hot there" or "Its cold there", depending on the season...and maybe they could come up with Dances With Wolves was filmed there. Most didn't even know that the Mount Rushmore carvings were in South Dakota. Occasionally if someone seemed interested, they would ask the person to do some days of research, then call them back on Friday for a report. Needless to say, the station won many awards for this...including from Tourism.
